Students Recognized for Mentoring
°®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ students are recognized for mentoring area high school students during the inaugural High School Video Game Challenge.

°®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ, in collaboration with the Illinois Math Academy and the Peoria Public Schools Foundation, participated in the High School Video Game Development Challenge. Students from the Department of Interactive Media at °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ served as mentors for students who competed in the challenge. Teams consisted of three to five students in 9-12 grade from Peoria area schools who spent the school year creating a video game from scratch. They were allowed to use any development tools, and °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ mentors helped guide them in creating the code, art, music, and sound effects.
