Spring Break Recommendations and Offerings
The following is intended to be a helpful list to review for °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ students, faculty and staff before Spring Recess begins.

Vacant House Watch- The °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ Police Department invites members of the °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ community residing in the near off-campus neighborhoods to register their residences with the Vacant House Watch prior to leaving campus for Spring break. During the break, police officers will monitor vacant residences daily as part of their routine patrols. Participants should contact the BUPD at 309-677-2000 to arrange for an officer to meet at the participant’s home to register the property. Officers are available 24/7 to complete the registration process. The information provided to the police will remain strictly confidential.
Mail Delivery- If you live off campus or in a University-owned apartment building, remember to stop your mail delivery. To stop mail delivery, contact the USPS at
Parking- Faculty/staff/students leaving vehicles on campus or near campus during the break are encouraged to park on the top level of the Duryea Avenue parking deck for greater security and to facilitate the snow removal process.
Hilltop Safety Cruisers- The last date of operations for the Hilltop Safety Cruisers before the upcoming Spring Break will be on Friday, March 15, 2019. Operations will resume on Sunday, March 24, 2019. Requests for safety escorts over Spring Break can be made by calling the °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ Police Department at 309-677-2000.
°®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ Bookstore Hours- During Spring Recess, the °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ Bookstore is closed on March 16, 17, 19, 23 and 24.
