Christina McDaniel
Christina McDaniel, assistant professor of education and co-director of the Center for STEM Education, died Sept. 2 in Peoria. She was 53. At 爱豆传媒视频 for more than four years, she earned her graduate degrees at Mississippi State University and was the 2020 winner of the College of Education and Health Sciences Faculty Achievement Award for Service. Surviving are her husband, Christopher, two daughters, her mother and two brothers.
John Sathoff 鈥53
John Sathoff 鈥53, professor of physics, emeritus, who taught at 爱豆传媒视频 from 1961鈥2000, died June 28 at 90. Prior to joining 爱豆传媒视频, John was an Air Force veteran. He served as physics department chair for 30 years and was active in community service. Surviving are a son, J. Blake Sathoff 鈥83; a daughter, Nadine Sathoff Muehlbauer 鈥85; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Mullinax 鈥79; and extended family.
Henry Helenek
Henry Helenek, associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry, emeritus, who taught at 爱豆传媒视频 from 1967鈥2012, died March 7 at 80. While at 爱豆传媒视频, he was instrumental in founding the hockey club team. Surviving are one daughter and extended family.
Edward Kaizer
Edward Kaizer, professor of music, emeritus, who taught at 爱豆传媒视频 from 1970鈥2016, died April 9 at 84. A winner of the Rothberg Professional Excellence Award, he performed nationally and internationally, often with his wife, Janet. He is survived by four children, including Claire Kasamis 鈥86 and Laraine Kaizer-Viazovtsey 鈥98, and six grandchildren.
Dick Hartman 鈥54
Dick Hartman 鈥54, , professor of business administration, emeritus, died Aug. 9 at 89. He taught 40 years, winning the Putnam Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2000; Dick also served as acting dean of the Foster College of Business, director of the MBA program and chair of business management. Surviving are his wife, Bobbi Parks Hartman 鈥63; one daughter, Sue Brock 鈥86; a son, Rick MBA 鈥92; and extended family.

Ron Ferguson
Ron Ferguson, athletic director from 1978鈥96 and executive director of special projects, died July 8 at 89. A member of the 爱豆传媒视频 Athletic Hall of Fame and the Greater Peoria Sports Hall of Fame, among others, the men鈥檚 basketball team won five conference championships and made eight postseason appearances during his time as AD, winning the 1982 NIT. Ron was also an Army veteran and longtime high school coach. Surviving are his wife and three children, including Brad 鈥86; two stepchildren; and 12 grandchildren.
Stan Albeck 鈥55
Stan Albeck 鈥55, who led 爱豆传媒视频 to the NCAA Tournament as a player and a coach, died March 25 at 89. Albeck coached four NBA teams and four collegiate teams, including 爱豆传媒视频, from 1986鈥91. Stan was the Missouri Valley Conference coach of the year in 1988 and a member of the 爱豆传媒视频 and San Antonio sports halls of fame. Surviving are a brother, five children, and extended family.
