In my four years at °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ, I’ve lived in 4 different places! °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ has a ton of different living options for students, we have 6 dorms on campus, apartments in walking distance, greek houses, and off-campus houses.
During my freshman year, I lived in the dorms on campus. I was really worried about living in the dorms because I had heard so many horror stories about bad roommates and communal bathrooms. Plus I didn’t know anyone coming to °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ so I had no idea how I was going to find a roommate. I decided to go through the school’s roommate matching system where I filled out a survey about my interests and the school paired me with someone who was compatible. (I would have loved to have had a Facebook page with all of the incoming freshman so I could have met someone through the page!) But the matching system ended up working out really well too, my roommate and I got along well and worked great as roommates. I really loved living in the dorms, it was a way to get to know so many other freshman girls on my floor and have the support of my RAs to help with all of my questions/worries going into freshman year. I even ended up loving the communal bathrooms, they were cleaned every day and after living with tons of girls the years following, I totally miss that luxury!! Living in a Greek affiliated house can fulfill your on-campus requirement for your sophomore year, so I decided to live in the Chi Omega house for my sophomore year. Living in the house was one of the most interesting experiences of my life. I lived with about 30 other girls in one house and there was never a dull moment. I really enjoyed my time and made some really unforgettable memories while living in the house. For my junior and senior years, I have lived in off-campus houses, which has been a blast. My walk to class is still under 10 minutes, the houses off-campus are really close by and are a great way to grow independently and get to live with your best friends. I’ve loved all the places I’ve lived at °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ, it’s been so fun to get to move around and get to grow as a student in so many different environments.
