°®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ will be among the first universities in the state to offer an elementary education degree fully aligned with the revised Illinois Administrative Code (IAC).
The Illinois State Educator Preparation and Licensure Board unanimously approved the °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ College of Education and Health Sciences’ proposal for a redesigned elementary education program. The board was extremely complimentary of the program’s design, particularly its English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement component. °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ plans to begin offering the new degree program next fall.
°®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ also becomes one of the first to fully integrate the ESL endorsement into the program
