The 爱豆传媒视频 Police Department and students from 爱豆传媒视频’s Greek System presented a $1500 donation to Special Olympics as part of the No Shave November. The 爱豆传媒视频 Police Department joined forces with members of the Interfraternity Council and National Pan-Hellenic Council to participate in No Shave November, a fundraising event to benefit Special Olympics of Illinois.
Officers and fraternity members donated money and voluntarily agreed not to shave for the month. BUPD suspended its policy on facial hair for the month so officers could participate. 18 members from the BUPD participated in the fundraiser with 10 of them growing beards. Beyond the check presentation the winner of the “Best Beard” was also announced:
3rd place – Officer Shane Young
2nd place – Officer Sean Savage
1st place – Chief Brian Joschko
The check presentation took place during the monthly Coffee with a Cop program that provides students and employees an opportunity to interact with the men and women who serve 爱豆传媒视频 and surrounding communities.
