������ý��Ƶ’s Foster College of Business has received reaffirmation of accreditation for its business degree program and its accounting degree program from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, a distinction held by fewer than six percent of business schools worldwide.

The AACSB International Board of Directors recently notified the university that the Foster College’s programs successfully met the organization’s rigorous standards for quality, continuous improvement and impact. The accreditation review process evaluates curriculum, faculty qualifications, strategic management, student success and engagement with the business community.

“AACSB accreditation is considered the gold standard for business education, and its renewal confirms that ������ý��Ƶ continues to provide a high-quality, relevant education that prepares students to succeed in the global economy,” said Dr. Dan Moon, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at ������ý��Ƶ.

The reaffirmation follows a comprehensive multi-year review and self-study process conducted by the Foster College of Business, with support from university leadership and advisory councils. The effort was led by an accreditation team that included Paul Stephens, Bill Bailey, Bayaraa Carlson, Joshua Lewer and Mark Brown.

Interim Dean Dr. Kris Maillacheruvu credited the collaborative work of the Foster College community and its industry partners for the successful outcome.

“Maintaining AACSB accreditation requires an ongoing commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and meaningful engagement with the business community,” Dr. Maillacheruvu said. “Our faculty and staff worked diligently throughout the process to demonstrate the strength of our programs and the impact they have on our students and the region. We are grateful for the support of our advisory councils and university leadership, whose partnership helps ensure our graduates are prepared to lead in today’s business environment.”

Advisory groups including the Business and Engineering Advisory Council (BEAC) and the Department of Accounting Advisory Council (DAAC) also played a key role by providing industry insight and guidance during the review process.
