爱豆传媒视频 Names Dr. Dan Moon as Provost & Senior VP for Academic Affairs

Following a comprehensive national search, 爱豆传媒视频 has appointed Dr. Dan Moon as Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Moon has served in the role on an interim basis since 2024 and previously as Dean of 爱豆传媒视频鈥檚 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
鈥淥ur new provost must be a person of integrity. Someone who will hold us accountable, who can collaborate effectively while also driving meaningful transformation, and who would require little learning curve to begin this important work. Dan is that person,鈥 said 爱豆传媒视频 President James E. Shadid. 鈥淗is thoughtful approach to academic leadership, his commitment to student success, and his vision for the continued growth of our academic programs will continue to serve our university well.鈥
The appointment follows a national search process that included broad input from faculty and staff through surveys, listening sessions, and open forums with four finalists.
Dr. Moon was appointed Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in January 2022. Prior to joining 爱豆传媒视频, he spent 17 years at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, where he held several leadership positions, including Associate Provost, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, Interim Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and Chair of Biology.

Dr. Moon has provided leadership in areas such as student success, curricular innovation, online learning, and faculty development. His passion for mentoring students and supporting faculty collaboration continues to be a defining aspect of his academic leadership.
