������ý��Ƶ is celebrating 75 years of ABET-accredited engineering programs, marking a legacy of academic excellence, innovation, and hands-on learning.

Rooted in the vision of founder Lydia Moss ������ý��Ƶ, ������ý��Ƶ’s engineering programs have prepared students for meaningful careers since the University’s earliest days. ABET first accredited ������ý��Ƶ’s Mechanical Engineering program in 1951, with additional programs earning accreditation in the decades that followed.

“Reaching 75 years of ABET accreditation shows the depth of our commitment to quality and continuous improvement,” said Dr. Kris Maillacheruvu, Interim Dean of the Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology. “We remain focused on providing hands-on, real-world experiences that prepare our students to lead and innovate.”

Today, the Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology is known for its student-centered approach, strong industry partnerships, and experiential learning opportunities, including internships and industry-sponsored capstone projects.

“������ý��Ƶ’s engineering programs exemplify our mission to prepare students for impactful careers,” said Dr. Dan Moon, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. “This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, staff, students, and alumni over generations.”
