Biography
Dr. Drake is a registered dietitian (RD) and master certified health education specialist (MCHES). She joined the department in 2013.
Teaching
Dr. Drake has taught a variety of courses in the department including Community Program Planning, Program Evaluation, Public Health Intervention Strategies, School Health Promotion, Sustainable Food Systems, and Matters of Life and Death. She tries to incorporate authentic experiences into all of her courses to provide students real-world learning and application.
Scholarship
Dr. Drake鈥檚 research interests include food insecurity, Health At Every Size庐 and non-dieting approaches to health, and scholarship of teaching and learning. She also enjoys mentoring student research. Recent scholarship includes:

Dr. Drake serves on multiple committees at the department, college and university levels including FCS Curriculum, EHS Strategic Planning, and University Senate. She reviews manuscripts for several journals, and conference abstracts for the Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior and the Society for Public Health Education.
