Biography
Sara Baker Netzley joined the °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ faculty in fall 2004. She has a Ph.D. in Mass Communication and Media Arts from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, an M.A. in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and a B.A. in Communication Arts and Political Science from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Dr. Netzley teaches and advises students majoring in journalism, and she is the adviser to °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ’s chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓÆµ’s Anime Club. Her research interests include politics and the media, gender and media studies, the relationship between television viewing and audience attitudes, and the evolution of newspapers in a digital world.
