Women in Leadership Luncheon featuring Laura Kelly
For the past 20 years, °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ’s Institute for Principled Leadership in Public Service has hosted a Women in Leadership luncheon honoring the legacy of Lydia Moss °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ. This year’s luncheon, hosted by the Institute alongside the Peoria Women’s Club and °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ President Jim Shadid, welcomes Kansas Governor Laura Kelly, a °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ alumna, as the featured speaker. Governor Kelly is finishing her second and final four-year term and models the bipartisan, ethical, civil, and collaborative leadership approach the Institute promotes. A Psychology major at °®¶¹´«Ã½ÊÓƵ, she jokes that her degree has served her well in dealing with all the personalities and egos she’s encountered in politics.
